La Vienta, Jazzmenco -
1993
The first album by La Vienta, on the Telarc Jazz label.
Take one Roswell native that plays Rock, Jazz and the Blues, and one German who
plays Violin, Classical and Flamenco guitar. Mix them together and sit them in
the desert sun, and you get a little something called La Vienta. Mario Otero
and Stefan Schyga did just that, and the resulting sound has travelled well
around the world.

Mario Otero, Self-titled -
1981
Mario's first solo album, recently re-released (and
remastered) on CD. Right out of the gate, Mario shows a multi-faceted talent,
going from a soft love song to a sweeping theme reminiscent of Emerson, Lake
and Palmer, with a healthy dose of the Southwest in the middle. An eclectic mix
that crosses genres.
